What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM, while check-out is required by 11:00 AM.

What are the reception hours?

The reception is open 24 hours a day.

What languages are spoken at the reception?

The reception speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish, and German.

Where is the property and how can I reach it?

The hotel is located in the historic center of Matera, in the characteristic Sassi area, about 100 meters from Piazza Duomo and the Matera Cathedral, in Via Muro 50 (a porter service from Piazza Duomo is available). The property is not directly accessible by car as it is located within a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL).
The property can be reached in the following ways:
• By train or bus: the property can be easily reached by taxi.
• By car: it is possible to park in public or private parking areas located outside the ZTL and reach the property on foot or by shuttle or taxi.
• By plane (Bari Airport): a private transfer service can be booked through the hotel, or guests may use taxis or airport shuttles.

Is there parking?

The property does not have private on-site parking, but it cooperates with a private parking facility (at an extra cost) located about 1 km away, which also offers a shuttle service. Alternatively, several public parking options are available nearby, both street parking and multi-story car parks. Our staff will be happy to provide all necessary information and assistance.

Does the property have an elevator?

No, the property does not have an elevator.

What accessibility features does the property have?

Palazzo del Duca is a “Diffuse Hotel” located in the Sassi of Matera, set within a historic context characterized by stairs and uneven paths. Due to these architectural features, the property does not offer specific services or accessible rooms for guests with disabilities or reduced mobility. Guests are advised to contact the property prior to booking to discuss any specific needs.

It does not apply to children under 14 years of age. Any other exemptions or reductions follow current municipal regulations.

Palazzo del Duca welcomes children, but for safety reasons they are not permitted to stay in the Suite with Pool.

Yes, Palazzo del Duca is available for the organization of private events and weddings, upon request and subject to evaluation.
