Anti Covid-19 safety measures
Palazzo del Duca Matera immediately adopted a shared protocol regulating measures for the prevention and contrast of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the workplace and to protect the health of our guests.
Rooms Sanitization and sanitation of the rooms
Each room undergoes careful sanitization, sanitation and ventilation. The products we use are certified and clinically tested and comply with WHO approved health standards.
Sanitization and purification of air quality
We observe strict standards of purification and sanitization of ventilation and air conditioning systems and for the purification of swimming pools and whirlpools. The frequency of inspections on ventilation and decontamination systems has been intensified, as we intensify the cleaning of the fan-coil air filters present in the rooms and their cleaning with sanitizing products.
Palazzo del Duca staff was trained in relation to the new procedures and service standards envisaged by the security protocol.
New ways of serving food & beverage
We serve breakfast in a Breakfast Box directly in the room or, if possible, in the breakfast room respecting social distancing. The dishes are handled as little as possible and by personnel equipped with the necessary protections able to guarantee perfect food safety. The breakfast menu has been modified in relation to these needs while respecting the authenticity and freshness of the food products used.
Sanitation and reorganization of common areas
All common areas are cleaned and sanitized several times a day with sanitizing products and specific equipment. The common areas have been reorganized to ensure social distancing and a high level of security.
Protocols and personal protective equipment
Our staff and guests are equipped with PPE that comply with WHO standards. The structure provides sanitizing liquid dispensers for guests.
Employee health and safety protocol
A screening with body temperature detection and monitoring is carried out daily and there is an interaction protocol with the competent doctor in the reported cases.
Control of suppliers
To minimize the risk of contagion, a new procedure has been adopted with strict controls in the procurement processes of goods from third-party suppliers.
Containment measures in the restaurant
Inside the Alcova restaurant, partner of the structure, all staff in the dining room and kitchen are equipped with the appropriate PPE and the dining rooms are set up respecting the necessary spacing. In order to allow adequate seating arrangements, guests are required to book their arrival in advance.
